Downtown Sioux Falls, Inc. (DTSF) is a non-profit corporation committed to continually upgrading and enhancing the vitality of downtown by providing excitement, activity and a positive image within the community through promotions, design, economic development and public relations.
We make downtown an exciting place to live, work and play.
Accomplishments
Established the Tax Increment Financing District (TIF) to financially assist and encourage private development of major downtown sites. Creation of the Downtown Economic Development Incentive Fund (DEDIF) Downtown Sioux Falls organizes and sponsors many special events in Downtown Sioux Falls including Christmas Downtown, Hot Summer Nights and the Parade of Lights. Downtown Sioux Falls has conducted consumer and employee surveys to identify barriers to the use of downtown and how to best promote downtown.

Downtown Sioux Falls funds the Design Assistance Program for its members for architectural assistance in downtown properties. Downtown Sioux Falls has commissioned a new marketing program, this web site, brochures and other promotional materials. Since 1990 the occupancy rates downtown have increased from 60 to 90 percent due in large part to the efforts of Downtown Sioux Falls.
